[up dharma down]

It's band pimping time again.

I'm currently on the hunt for any Up Dharma Down CDs, mp3s, whatever, I don't care I just want their music. After hearing "Maybe", I instantly fell in love with their music - just the right mix of what I'm looking for. Parang yung pinakamasarap na timpla ng pinaka-gusto mong kape.

Beautiful.

Anyway, back to the hunt.

[going back to normal]

Instructions: Copy and paste the first sentence(s) from your first entry of each month this past year. What better way to sum up your year and make a countdown to '06! [got this from Nikki]

January - April
haven't started blogging then :D

May
Took a lot of time for this blog to finish so I hope you like it. Since this is my first ever post, I guess I'll cover the basics first; about the site (err blog), who I am, and stuff like that.

June
I've been doing nothing but travel the big big ocean that is the web all week. Friggin comsci instructors just won't show up no matter how hard I look for them so I decided "to Jigoku with removals, I shall bum out instead and enjoy the last few days of summer. " And so I did.

July
Back to normal... life, that is. (nikki, pagaya ng style. just this once) The speed of how life's pace changes amazes me.

August
Yesterday, I decided to go buy a fresh supply of blank CDs from Greenhills on my way home from QC (from a todo-gimmick weekend at QC). While I was checking a few things out at 2RATS before buying blanks, I saw a DVD compilation of Beck - Mongolian Chop Squad.

September
Got the piano-only versions of her [Utada Hikaru] 2nd album songs and It just made my day. the entire collection is beautiful.

October
the Politics Quiz results.

November
Back in elbi... and somehow everything feels like it's back to normal.

December
The reality of how this country has been fixing the [SEA] games makes me sick.

"Back to normal" was mentioned twice (maybe more). Seem's getting things back to normal or trying to get things back to normal has been my theme for 2005. What was so "not right" or "normal" that I kept on trying to get things "back to normal"?

Yeah, I think I know... Hope she's doing fine now. Forgiven or not, it's past time I stopped looking back.

[2005]

If the last few days of the year 2005 has a theme for me, it's family and friends.

Christmas parties, gift giving and inuman sessions; the most I've ever spent for Xmas for as far as I can remember; spending for and organizing Xmas parties, giving away miniature mini-Coopers and Mp3 CDs like they were mugs. The best Noche Buena ever; the first time my family was complete for Christmas in almost 3 years - a blacksheep brother finally decides to spend Christmas with the family. And Birthday parties, post birthday party inuman sessions. I've never had more alcohol in my system in one season.

This Christmas...is the most I've ever spent time with my family and friends in my life. Ever. And I'm happy. Parang andami ko palang mahal sa buhay ^__^

Everyone, have a Happy New Year.

[curse my ignorance]

I recently discovered that "Love Song" is actually a The Cure original. I feel like an idiot, how could I not have known? Anyway... here's an acoustic version of the song. I just noticed.. I've been posting a lot of songs lately (and their downloadable too!). This isn't even legal but what the heck. I just want to share the love :D At para sa hindi nakakaalam ng lyrics (although I doubt that..):

love song
the cure

whenever i'm alone with you
you make me feel like i am home again
whenever i'm alone with you
you make me feel like i am whole again

whenever i'm alone with you
you make me feel like i am young again
whenever i'm alone with you
you make me feel like i am fun again

however far away
i will always love you
however long i stay
i will always love you
whatever words i say
i will always love you
i will always love you

whenever i'm alone with you
you make me feel like i am free again
whenever i'm alone with you
you make me feel like i am clean again

[the night's watch]

Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.

I've just started reading A Feast for Crows, the fourth book of A Song of Ice and Fire. Except for the part about taking no wife and fathering no children, the Night's Watch is the coolest faction in Westeros, aside from the Starks of Winterfell of course. By the way, was Googling around the net and found some interesting Ice and Fire pictures (Art by Jenny Dolfen, I am posting without permission): pictured here's the coolest most BADASS brother of the Night's Watch: Qhorin Halfhand. ..Kind of makes me want to make my own Ice and Fire character renditions, hmm..

I'll be coming to Baguio for Christmas, and since our Internet there has veen disconnected, and I probably won't have much money for the holidays, malamang hindi ako makakapagpost ng madalas, so to everyone out there: MERRY CHRISTMAS, and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Anyway, back to reading.
