[the night's watch]

Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.

I've just started reading A Feast for Crows, the fourth book of A Song of Ice and Fire. Except for the part about taking no wife and fathering no children, the Night's Watch is the coolest faction in Westeros, aside from the Starks of Winterfell of course. By the way, was Googling around the net and found some interesting Ice and Fire pictures (Art by Jenny Dolfen, I am posting without permission): pictured here's the coolest most BADASS brother of the Night's Watch: Qhorin Halfhand. ..Kind of makes me want to make my own Ice and Fire character renditions, hmm..

I'll be coming to Baguio for Christmas, and since our Internet there has veen disconnected, and I probably won't have much money for the holidays, malamang hindi ako makakapagpost ng madalas, so to everyone out there: MERRY CHRISTMAS, and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Anyway, back to reading.
